Miami Swim Week 2017 Recap

Miami Swim Week 2017

SWIM MIAMI – W SOUTH BEACH | SATURDAY JULY 21, 2017 | Miami Swim Week has come and gone. I prepared for the shows, made sure I did all my RSVPs on time, and checked my calendar constantly. Wanted to do so many things all week, but ended up only attending the Saturday & Sunday events/shows. I’m still recuperating from the weekend. The heat was unbearable and high heels doesn’t help. But it’s all so worth it! I always end up meeting the most fabulous people at these type of events. Oh and we can’t forget about the beautiful models and the amazing designs. Take a look at my 2 day Swim Miami adventures below. I wore the perfect Miami dress at Miami Swim Week this year! I felt amazing in this dress from Agaci and received so many compliments. This palm print is here to stay, and found some similar styles for you all to check out. Started my Saturday morning at the influencer hour with TAVIK and KEVIN.MURPHY. I was so happy that local hairstylists were there to make sure we were ready for the day. The soft curls were done by using all KEVIN.MURPHY products, and let me […]

Miami Swim Week 2014 – Barraca Chic

Swim week in Miami has officially started. To kick off the event, SLS hotel in Miami Beach hosted Barraca Chic Fashion show Est. in Switzerland. Barraca Chic’s 2014 Moments collection swimwear were inspired by the beautiful cities around the globe. The beachwear are all made from the finest, eco-friendly fabrics and best quality Lycra. Comfortable and chic, all the beachwear are fit and zero pulling. The 2014 moments collections also featured some glitz with nearly 10,000 Swarovski crystals set by hand. For more check out Barra Chic collections, visit their website at Designers B&B What I wore: Although it was a humid night, I opted for a leggings that I recently purchased from Cotton on, and a sheer see-through shirt that I found from my days of thrifting.  It was raining all day, so I didn’t want to risk wearing a dress and having to run across the many floods in Miami. Event Recap: #MiamiSwimWeek 2015

Oh what a week! Runway shows, brunch and late night parties – Miami Swim Week 2015 was full of endless events. I had a chance to attend some of the events but missed quite a few. Unfortunately, a lot of the shows overlapped. My calendar for the week looked extremely colorful, which made me excited but also gave me a little anxiety. I literally had to uber from hotel to hotel in Miami Beach for 48 hours straight. With Eid and friends in town, it felt like my weekend was a little more hectic than it should be. So basically no sleep but non-stop fun! Now that I’ve rested, here’s my recap on some of the events I attended. 1. |Jul 14| Kicked off Swim Week with Miami Magazine’s Splashion 2015. I was a little bummed because I missed the Laundry by Shelli Segal runway show but had the chance to watch Adam Lambert perform up close and personal. Stay tuned for some adorable Laundry by Shelli Segal swimsuit inspo on the blog soon. 2. |Jul 18| Brunch with Glamour Magazine and Daniela Ramirez of Nany’s Klozet. There was also some much needed makeup touch-ups by Neutrogena cosmetics. 3. |Jul 18| Quick stop at Boxycharm event to meet […]

Weekend Getaways With Royal Caribbean International – Day 3

Travel Blogger Afroza Khan Formal Maxi Cruise Style on Royal Caribbean Cruise

♦ DAY 3 ♦ Welcome to Day 3 at the Royal Caribbean‘s Mariner of the Seas weekend cruise. If you haven’t seen the post from Day 1 & 2 yet, here it is. In that first post, I completely forgot to mention the late night fun we had on the ship. After dinner, we checked out Sky Pad, it’s a brand new virtual reality, bungee trampoline experience on Mariner of the Seas. It was definitely a unique experience and pretty thrilling. We also did Karaoke and made a total fool of ourselves. The audience absolutely loved it! We were just having too much fun. Someone suggested we check out the Scavenger hunt game called ‘The Quest’. We didn’t know what to expect but it was the best thing I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t stop laughing and screaming the entire time. Make the time to attend the shows, everyone involved puts so much effort into making sure the guests have the best experience. I took some videos and I might put it together on YouTube or IGTV to share the entire experience (stay tuned). Day 3 was the last day of this amazing weekend trip. It was another early wake-up call and we met up with the group […]

Weekend Getaways With Royal Caribbean International – Day 1 & 2

♦ DAY 1 ♦ What an incredible way to get away for the weekend! Thank you Royal Caribbean International for showing us the most amazing time. It was my first cruise ever and I’m sharing everything from my trip. Sharing day 1 (half day) and 2 here, also check out Day 3! I just really wanted to share all my photos, and review of the Mariner of the Seas with you guys. Enjoy! Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas went through a $90 million makeover to provide guests with more chance to plan for a perfect weekend on this ship. We went for a 3-night Bahamas weekend escape. It was a short break with non-stop action and fun-filled adventures. I was amazed at all the things we were able to enjoy in 2 days! ♦ The Room ♦ My best friend and I stayed in a Balcony room. A lot of experienced cruise travelers told me that cruise ships usually have rooms that are extremely small with just a window. But, the Mariner of the Seas had more rooms with balconies than all the other cruises I’ve seen. The balcony room was perfect for 2 people! Besides the balcony, our favorite part of the […]
