Thanks to Weight Watchers, General Mills, and Publix for sponsoring today’s discussion.
I started this new year with a very healthy mindset. Previous couple of years, I had the intention of being healthy but never got around to it. It looks like it’s working for me this year because I started changing my eating and workout habits late November 2014. I’m happy to say, I’m sticking to my healthy lifestyle so far and loving the slow but noticeable transformation. I’m also discovering some healthy New Years Resolution recipes. Keep reading to see how I used Weight Watchers endorsed products at Publix to make a delicious Steamed Vegetable Medley dish.
This simple yet delicious meal is the perfect alternative to a lunch. It was surprisingly filling. The zesty taste from the ginger and soy sauce adds flavor to the assorted vegetables.
The Green Giant frozen vegetables were BOGO at my local Publix. They are always having the most amazing deals. I purchased Green Giants Green Beans & Almonds, Broccoli and Carrots and baby Brussles Sprouts to create the steamed vegetable medley dish. The package comes with instructions on how long to microwave each pack, which makes it quick and easy to whip up a healthy meal. To add a little spice to the vegetables, I made my own zesty sauce for dressing. Total Preparation time takes about 15-20 minutes.
To make the zesty sauce, use 2 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame hot oil and 1/2 a tablespoon of ginger paste.
Drizzle little or lot of the sauce on the steamed vegetable medley and enjoy the deliciousness.
