Lavendar is the Grown-Up Pink June 4, 2018
Lavendar is the Grown-Up Pink
First of all, the color Lavender is considered to be a grown-up pink color. I agree and disagree because I believe anyone can rock the color pink, no matter the age. But I see how the color lavender can have a more classy appeal. I haven’t worn this color in a while. I actually didn’t have anything in this color in my closet. Now I want to add more pretty pastel colors, because I finally feel like I can pull it off. This mesh dress I’m wearing just went on a major sale! Under $15. Not sure how long this sale will last, but I’m also including some more pretty lavender dresses below.
The origin of Lavender is believed to be from the Mediterranean, Middle East and India. Its history goes back some 2500 years. Lavender is a flowering plant of the mint family known for its beauty, its sweet floral fragrance and its multiple uses.
The softer purple hue is perfect for spring and mixes well with tons of other colors such as neutrals, pinks, blues and other pastels. To start easing lavender into your spring wardrobe, opt for one piece as your main focus. The great thing about this pale purple shade is that it looks great with just about any color as well as denim and prints. If you’re unsure of how to wear lavender now, purchase a few lightweight knit sweaters now that can be taken midway through Spring. If you’re looking to make the subtlest of introductions, try lavender accessories. Don’t shy from metallic lavender pieces as they add a ton of fun to the mix.
