Mini-trend to try: Crop top

April 23, 2012

Popularized by the movie Flashdance, crop tops became a hit in the 80’s when girls would wear them as workout wear. Then came the 90’s when the designers took notice of the trend and created amazing minimalistic pieces of crop top paired with either pants or skirts. Now it’s back, designers like Versace, Emilio Pucci, Miu Miu and Jeremy Scott are showing some amazing pieces for their spring/summer collection.

I found some crop tops that you can buy online (Mostly from Top shop, loveee itt), pair them with a simple skirt or for a bold look wear it with a different patterned bottom. The moto denim jacket will look great with a simple black skirt for a overall chic look.  For a spring look, pair the buttercup crop top or the pineapple crop top with a white skirt.

Love the denim soft bralet for a hipster look. and get music festival ready with the red African crop top. To wear this trend with pants, add the fluro floral print corset with jeans. You can literally take pieces from your closet and wear this trend while it lasts!

Love or hate this mini-trend?  share your thoughts  -xoxo
