Brighter and shinier hair deserves to be shown off. In today’s post, I want to show you how simple it is to create an ethereal hairstyle with a side braid and some Baby’s Breath or Gypsophilia flowers. Baby’s Breath hairstyle is very popular among brides, but when I came across these pretty little beauties, I knew I wanted to create a soft summer floral hairstyle.
In a previous post, I wrote about John Frida Rethink Colour collection. The new Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Shampoo and Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Conditioner helped to gradually brighten my hair with a natural looking sun-kissed tone. I also fell in love with the effect of new Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ In-Shower Treatment. It instantly lightened up my hair upto 1 shade. Hair doesn’t appear bleached or orange, it’s completely safe for natural, highlighted, and color-treated brunettes. You can find all these fab items at your local Walmart. The Visibly Brighter™ Treatment may not be available in all Walmart stores, but no worries it can be purchased online at walmart.com.
See how easily I created this simple hairstyle.
Step 1: Brush through the hair couple of times to detangle and smooth out dry hair.
Step 2: Part your hair to the side that you are comfortable with. Take a small section of your hair and start braiding. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just make the braids a little tighter.
Step 3: Secure the side braid with a bobby pin.
Step 4: Gather your baby’s breath or Gypsophilia flowers.
Step 5: The plastic Gypsophilia flowers I found were pretty easy to tear. I took out small sections of the flowers and secured the little pieces through the tight braid (no bobby pins necessary).
6. Voila! This hairstyle is so simple and ethereal.
See how easy that was! Let go of headbands and hair ties and start wearing flowers in your hair. It’s summertime baby!
xoxo, Afroza
