Zion National Park, Utah July 12, 2016
You guys, this place is so majestic! Zion National Park took my breath away, no literally! Here’s the fun story. So, I’m not in shape at all! I tried to hit the gym and stair masters as much as I could before this trip (ok I admit it, I should’ve hit the gym a little harder). Once I got to Zion National Park, I was ready for my hike at the famous Angels Landing. You should also know that this was my first hike ever! But the elevation, the heat and the excitement really got to me. I went up the Angels Landing as much as I could. Not sure how far up, but enough to take multiple breaks in between and then walk right back down. So proud of my friend who reached summit at Angels Landing, the whole 1488 feet up!
The beautiful view on my way down the Angels Landing pathway.
Another attempt at a hike, The Narrows. But first, snapping away for my snapchat.
I actually hiked a pretty good distance at The Narrows. It was so much fun! I loved walking through the Virgin River. Reminded me of my childhood playing by the rivers in Bangladeshi Villages. The water was chilly but welcoming after a long walk. It started to rain, so we couldn’t finish the entire 16 mile hike. My phone was constantly giving me flash flood warning. People started to walk the other way as soon as it started to rain a little. But, my little group just walked right into the river and took a cool dip. I really want to go back and finish this awesome hike. And yeah that’s me holding my phone again, just snapping away. Btw, does hiking get addictive? I am itching to go on a natural hike again. Oh Miami, where can I hike in your pretty little beachy city?
